The Galapagos National Park and the Marine Reserve surrounding the islands are strictly protected areas. The Ecuadorian government requires all ships of a foreign flag to get a Cruise Permit previous to visiting the Galapagos. As a licensed Ship Agency based in Galapagos, we understand the importance to offer a complete service so you have a unique experience in the islands.
We specialize in managing and processing all the permits and paperwork necessary for your yacht to visit the Galapagos. We have a strong relation with the Merchant Marine and the Galapagos National Park authorities in order to get all the permits in time for your visit.
We recommend to start the process at least two months before your arrival but, if necessary, we will do all in our hand to speed the process in a shorter time.

The owner has been a captain in Galapagos for several decades so he also knows very well the anchorage sites, the currents and the characteristics of the different ships.
We can also organize private VIP visits to the Charles Darwin Station accompanied by scientists or visits to private Reserves and restaurants for special dinners.
All the activities in the National Park sites have to be previously approved by the National Park authorities and that is our duty and our compromise.
PROVISIONS

We will send you a detailed list of products which are not allowed in the Galapagos islands. The Agency of Biosecurity and Invasive Species Control and Quarantine (ABG) is the organization in charge of making sure that no invasive species arrive to the Galapagos Islands, a critical role necessary for the conservation of our fragile
ecosystems. This is why there are certain products with are banned from the islands and we are not allowed to import.
GUIDE
Having onboard your ship a Naturalist Guide licensed by the Galapagos National Park is obligatory, with no exceptions.
The Naturalist Guide represents the National Park, but it is hired by our agency.
The guide plays a very important role in a visit to the islands as he/she will be coordinating the activities in the visitor sites, as well as providing information to enrich your experience about the natural history and uniqueness of this amazing archipelago.
Our guides have been selected for their vast knowledge of the fauna and flora, but also for their personalities and ability to interact with visitors and make them feel special. They will always go one step further to get you close and personal with the wildlife and try to make your experience unforgettable.
We are sure that, at the end of the trip, you and the crew will be close friends with your naturalist guide.
LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORTATION
During your stay at the islands, you might need various transportation for different visits in the ports for you, your guests, crew or cruise directors.
Captain Max Maritime will carefully coordinate the necessary logistics. We work closely with several local service suppliers to make sure everything is in time and efficient. We guarantee your experience will be flawless so you can forget about these aspects of traveling and concentrate on enjoying the islands.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT & SPEARS
As maritime agents with many years of experience as captains, we know that things can sometimes go wrong at sea.
We have access to all the spare parts suppliers both in the Galapagos and mainland Ecuador and we will make all in our hand to deliver whatever is necessary for your ship in a reasonable time.
We also work together with local mechanics in case you need our assistance or we could hire one form the mainland, if necessary.
